Recently there is news of a Maharashtra village where villagers are protesting against HIV+ students' presence in school.
Minister wants separate school for HIV+ kids
The minister's solution to above problem is a bit amusing. Usual practice by government and politicians is to try to give reservation and quota to an oppressed and backward section of society. In this case they want the HIV+ children to be de-reserved and have a separate arrangement!
Aren't such decisions simply being influenced by who is the stronger vote bank! The HIV+ children and people are probably not a strong vote bank yet so let them suffer indignities -- seems to be the mantra.
